We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account and use Sporeboard:

• Account information: Name, email address, password, account type (creator or brand), and IP address at account creation (recorded for terms acceptance verification)
• Profile information: Creator stats, niche, pricing, platform URLs, company name, and target audience
• Transaction information: Booking details, ad copy, slot dates, and deal status
• Payment information: Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details. Stripe may share limited transaction data with us for payout processing
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, actions taken on the platform, device information, and IP address
• Communications: Messages you send to our support team

1A. Geographic Scope

Sporeboard is a US-only service. If you are located outside the United States, you are not authorized to use this Service. This Privacy Policy is written to comply with applicable US privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We do not represent that this policy meets the requirements of GDPR or any other non-US privacy framework.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Operate the marketplace and facilitate transactions between creators and brands
• Process payments and payouts via Stripe
• Send transactional emails (verification, booking confirmations, payout notifications) via Resend
• Provide customer support
• Detect and prevent fraud and abuse
• Improve and develop our Service
• Comply with legal obligations
• Facilitate payment holding and payout releases via Stripe Connect, including automated release triggers based on deal status and delivery confirmation

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Stripe: Payment processing and creator payouts. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data
• Resend: Transactional email delivery (verification emails, booking notifications)
• Supabase: Our database and authentication infrastructure provider
• Between users: Creator profile information (name, stats, pricing) is visible to brands on the platform. Brand company name is shared with creators for booking context
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Sporeboard or others

Our third-party service providers (Stripe, Supabase, Resend) are primarily based in the United States. By using Sporeboard, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in the US or other countries where these providers operate.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (such as transaction records). Transaction and payment records may be retained for up to 7 years as required for financial and tax compliance, even after account deletion.

5. Cookies and Tracking

Sporeboard uses cookies and similar technologies to:

• Maintain your authenticated session (essential)
• Remember your preferences (functional)
• Understand how the platform is being used (analytics)

We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may prevent you from logging in or using key features of the Service.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request that we delete your account and associated data
• Portability: Request a machine-readable copy of your data
• Object: Object to our processing of your personal data in certain circumstances

We process deletion requests within 30 days. Active deals must be resolved (delivery confirmed, cancellation accepted, or auto-release completed) before an account can be deleted, and completed transaction records may be retained as described in Section 5.

6A. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Know: You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal data we have collected about you.
• Right to Delete: You may request that we delete personal information we have collected, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration.

7. Children's Privacy

Sporeboard is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately at support@sporeboard.live.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights or freedoms, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law, without undue delay.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify users via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
